That sucks. I hope he finds his way into a situation where he can have a chance to thrive. Way too good a person to wish anything but success to.

It seems the Rangers were looking for lefty help in this trade and felt Jackson a likely bust (and I agree Jackson really sucks despite his potential). So Jenkins was probably more a throw-in by the Braves who would've DFA'd themselves too. Brady Feigl still has the potential to be a dominated lefty out of the pen depending on how his recover continues after TJS. Remember he almost made the Braves out of Spring Training the year he got hurt. Plus most agreed he'd likely been up at some point otherwise.

Rangers also are replacing Jenkins on the roster with another lefty in Rollins. So it seems they're trying to make sure they're stronger in that area this year after it was such a weakness last season. I wonder if Jenkins will clear waivers, my guess is someone claims him but maybe not.

I'd rather have Jenkins than Collmenter.

I'm betting the Rangers make a AAA deal with him.

I would bring him back in a heartbeat. While I agree with those who said he probably needed a change of scenery, he is too good a kid to not give him one more shot. If he doesn't come back to Atlanta, I hope he catches on elsewhere and goes on to have a long and successful career in MLB.

Jenkins is worth a look as a reliever. He hasn't had an extended look there. The best thing that can happen to him is to have some team assign him for a full season to the pen AAA and that he puts up much better strikeout and walk numbers than he did as a starter.

It would be ncie to bring back Jenkins, but he needs to go somewhere he's going to have a shot. He's buried too deep with us.

Tyrell Jenkins was claimed on waivers by the Reds on Friday. Hope he didn't invest too heavily on Rangers gear for Christmas presents.

Maybe not statistically, but he had a great personality, and fans will miss him, even if not for his pitching ability. I, presumably along with most Braves fans, wish him well.
