You can't make calculations or plans for Game 5 before game 4. They are a completely different set of variables with which to work with. You have to manage game 4 and 5, like its Game 5... Independent of each other as much as possible.

You have to put all your chips in for game 4, and handle game 5 when\if you get there.

Wining game 4 and then losing game 5 is the same result as losing game 4.

If Stras isn't 100% for game 4, but will be for game 5, he shouldn't pitch game 4.

It doesn't matter if there is no Game 5. Besides, it's not like they only have Strasburg to start Game 5. They have Gio and could even throw Scherzer since he'll be on almost full rest. Strasburg and then Gio/Scherzer in Game 5 gives them the best chance to win the series.
