The Mets' catcher can frame. That last pitch was clearly a ball, but he caught it with the glove in the zone.

Flowers can't hit but he gets a fourth strike to salvage a walk...very lucky.

Flowers is awful right now. And no effort to see the ball deep, shoot it oppo, to track the ball better. Amazing he got walked there as he’s been swinging at everything.

On a related note, has ball-strike umpiring ever been this bad? I’ve noticed it as terrible at every level I’ve watched this season, down to the high school level. No confidence in blue.

Sucks that they had to take out Fried.

But got to like our chances against the Mets pen even with a rested Diaz.

It’s always been this bad but technology has allowed us to know exactly what the strike zone is now

Dominate inning for Sobotka. Good to see regardless of the quality of hitter he is facing.
