From Oct. 1 through Nov. 30, almost 365,000 people enrolled into private health insurance via the federal and state marketplaces and more than 803,000 were deemed eligible for Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program, according to the department.

    Where did everyone go.
The web site is working -the stories of rate increases being debunked and enrollment is picking up steam.

    Why no fist shakers today???
Maybe it is because the purveyors of anti-Obama venom have moved from HC to the "handshake" you know cozying with Communists -- "just like we knew"

Back to ACA -- this across the wire today. Another one of the certain in their views guys ----
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

As news breaks that enrollment has surpassed one million, it turns out one of Obamacare's fiercest critics is among Republicans showing some "secret love" for the law.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) signed his family up on the federal healthcare exchange and has opted to take a federal subsidy offered to lawmakers and staff, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

"Senator Rubio spent time looking at all the options and decided to enroll through the D.C. exchange for coverage for him and his family," Rubio's spokeswoman Brooke Sammon told the Times, adding that "Senator Rubio is following the law, even though he opposes it."

The Washington Post notes that Rubio's fellow 2016 GOP presidential prospects Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) have also joined the D.C. exchange.

Rubio has previously tried to kill Obamacare, even declining last March to support a stopgap bill to fund the government unless it also defunded "this Obamacare bill that is going to be an absolute disaster for the American economy."

You do understand that they are signing up so they can ask the President to do the same thing? (in essence, saying they are not above the people and should not be exempt).

    You do understand this, right?

    So let's see… Health care premiums up over 40% - 57 thinks that's great!

Most of the enrollees already had health care, but are now just signing up for medicare. Yay!

Millions of people have lost their job/health care because of the ObamaCare act. 57 loves this too, bc now more people will need the government.

Oh, and after all that money, the exchanges are still 800,000 people away from its goal. Wooo!!!!

But come April, 57 will come on here and tell us how great the law is because of all of these people who signed up!! But he seems to forget that it is ****ing mandate to do so

Dunno why anyone would use the exchanges until they're actually secured.

You're really bragging about "fixing" a billion dollar website that still has massive security issues?

Had lunch with a friend the other day that was paying 400 a month for a family of 5, but both are their own one person LLCs, and as he put it "good at showing no income" so now they get healthcare for 84 dollars a month, with the govt stimulus helping.

Since I paid for that out of pocket, I did my sleep exam, my EKG, full physical with blood work and all that for free after that. My insurance for family of four was less than $190 a month. It goes up on Wednesday to $220 a month, but deductibles go up as well, not a lot, maybe 20 percent, but noticeable. Highest substantial increase in six years, but compared to others, I can't complain.

The moral of the story, if you going to pay max out of pocket, get all your screenings, exams and what not in the same year so you don't have to pay for it.

I think the real moral of the story is it's time to privatize medicine.

I think that the US should offer free schooling, but only to the cream of the crop students. They have the option to go for free to fed run colleges. No more grants no more government backed loans, ditch them let the private and state side be on their own, and house fed colleges that are 100% free. Similar to how some European systems work. The emphasis on college in the US is almost as dumb as the emphasis on standardized testing scores.

Exactly, this is how my daughter got into Dental school free of charge. If you are a top of the line student, companies, errr, government will pay your tuition. She still has to pay other amenities, that is why I exists, to cover the other costs.
