I like it. Two consecutive moves that improve the weakest area of the team and we gave up nothing from the farm or that we could use. This is sort of a half assed, poor man's version of "going for it" at the deadline so far. I think that's the perfect route to take this year.

AA did good getting Venters and Brach without trading anyone but international slot money. Though I am afraid Venters will break under Snit (still annoyed Snit used him back to back right after Jonny came off the DL not long ago). As for Brach, he has had a bad year so far but in the past he was one of Baltimore's best relievers. Hopefully he can have a good second half here.

I don't think he's done, I expect he wants to add a starter (possibly Gray depending on the cost) and he clearly is trying for Beltre and likely another reliever.

I thought it was expressing gratitude for no longer being sellers at the deadline.

As always, your reading comprehension is lacking.
I also took your comment at face value, FWIW. I believe we're beginning to see a version of derangement syndrome here; everything Encheff says isn't sarcastic or derogatory. In fact, many of you "responders" are trash talking at a much higher frequency than he is. Would do all of you good to read aloud what you just wrote before you post it.

It isn't trash talking him when you are stating a FACT that he is wrong about Sam Freeman being any good.

he said that Freeman is a serviceable 5th arm in the pen...or something to that effect...that's not really a controversial proposition...I don't think any of us would claim Freeman is great

Brach for nothing isn’t bad. Might want to limit him to right handlers based on how life is going for him this year - at least how Twitter describes it.

Could use one more lefty that actually gets lefties out.

Fishing in the coating nothing at all bucket is cost effective but certainly could come back to haunt you if it doesn’t work out.

I think Freeman would be 100% more effective if limited to 75% of his current workload. Hopefully these additions allow that.

the issue to me is that in a pennant chase there isn't the luxury of time to allow a player like Freeman to work through whatever mechanical or psychological issues that might be affecting his performance...I'm ok with allowing him 2 or 3 more low leverage appearances to see if he can sort things out...if not we move on to other options...Gohara for example could be a more effective bullpen piece for the rest of this season

yes he is just a situational righty... our back end guys are still Winkler and Minter...I guess Biddle is the 7th inning guy...for now...there might be one more bullpen trade left for a higher leverage guy...

Yes, it was a backhanded comment. Your form of bitching.

He then resorted to name calling (his post was deleted) when being called out on it. Don't let him fool you.

I read Brach may be our closer. I still want Avilan regardless.

Further, that he has been run into the ground, and could probably use a 10 day break...which is exactly how the 10 day DL is used.

This notion that he is DFA fodder is laughable, and is the product of a moody 37 year old fat man.

Look, Enscheff is right up there with the biggest dickheads on any message board anywhere...BUT he knows his ****. If he was on fire I wouldn't piss on him to put it out, but his posts are right on....... when he is talking about baseball that is, and not stroking his ego or derping on clvclvclvclvclv.

If he'd learn some humility or just be a human being for 5 minutes a day, he wouldn't get near the **** he gets from posters.

But honestly, he could care less what any of us think so just skip over the BS and pay attention to the portion of his post that actually contains good information.
