Rangers writer TR Sullivan: Braves need a right fielder and have a glut of good young pitching. Looks like there is a possible match involving Nomar Mazara if the Rangers are serious about dealing him.

Someone clearly doesn’t understand advanced defensive stats

If Miami lowers their asking price for JTR then I think we will jump back in. Albies ain’t happening so put Pache in his place.

I still don’t get this. Why give up significant resources towards a position of lessor needs. If we want to trade Christian, then find someone with a good corner outfielder and package him for that. Like the M’s. Why do we want to get JT and then be forced to trade late bloomer for dimes on the dollars.

If AA can’t find the type of upgrade he wants in the outfield then I could why he would do it.

Mazara isn't yet 24. If he came cheap I'd consider it.

Seems more like speculation than an actual rumor. Mazara is talented and has some upside at only 23 but he's been pretty mediocre.

I don’t care if he is 12. He sucks in the field and isn’t that special at the plate. Give me the ****ty defender in Detroit who can at least rake before this scrub.

if a player were 12 and hit like mazara has i'd hope the braves would try and acquire him

mazara also played most of his games in RF. maybe LF would be easier for him. he wasn't terrible in RF, just not good. he definitely still has upside.

If we're planning on flipping Ender before his defense starts to decline we should be holding on to Pache.

Ideally if we do include Pache I'd prefer a bat.

I wonder if they asked for Ender and we rejected? Wouldn’t it be sweet to hear all the negotiations?

Some Mariners writer said Braves offered Pache/Wilson for Diaz, that would have been interesting.

I like Wilson, but ew. I'm not a fan of that at all. Still, it shows the Braves will trade Pache for pitching. Hello, Kluber. lol
