Wasn't the team the youngest average age in baseball last year? Might have just had to many kids acting like kids. Looks like the people are bringing in some older players to mix in with the young guys. Maybe that will make a difference.
Alex needs to lay the wood down on these lollygaggers.

The thing that's odd about his is Chris Johnson is still around. Of all the guys on the team, he seems to be the least professional guy and I'm still disappointed they haven't unloaded him.

Oh, I'm praying. It'll either be a new bike or Chris Johnson returning to form.
The puzzler to me is that Johnson strikes me as a hot-headed knucklehead and guys like that can be poison on a team. I realize that in their current iteration, neither Chris Johnson or Melvin Upton would net much (if anything), but they looked to be the kind of guys who would be clubhouse cancers more than anyone else who they've sent packing.
I agree on CJ. He needed to be first on the bus out of town. His immaturity level is off the charts. The wrong Upton left but I get it, as he is untradeable but I still think Justin has issues as well. Probably the reason we were able to steal him from Arizona. And Gattis, I'm just glad he's gone, and I really can't explain why. I just never bought into the hype. There just was a bad mix of guys. I don't lay the blame on Freddi's feet. He treats the guys like men as he should. No need to caudle them as Cox did at times.

Well at least they weren't behaving like scallywags
Same problem with CJ that we have with BJ - no one wants him. Hard to trade a player no one values.

CJ seems more like a hothead than a lollygagger. Medlen, on the other hand....
I never competed in anything other than slow pitch softball after high school, but hotheads can be a real distraction and I imagine at the big league level, it can be a real problem because anything that disrupts the concentration of others is a detriment. People like the "fire" when a guy destroys a water cooler, but don't think that doesn't make the other guys look around and think "Calm the f*ck down."
