He appears to have lost the team. Maybe Martinez will turn out to be a great manager, but just because someone is highly-regarded as a coach or minor league manager doesn't mean they will succeed at the big-league level. Eddie Haas racked up some impressive minor league records managing some of the Braves' minor league teams and there was some optimism when he took over for Joe Torre. Haas didn't last the whole 1985 season.
7-4 gNats now.
Phillies down by 3. Would love to have a two game lead after tonight. Every game up is gonna be huge down the stretch
Great outing from Gausman tonight. Looking more and more like a steal.
Go Nats!

Phillies lose 10-4 and still have to face Max on Thursday. It sucks Soto scored 2 runs.

I feel like we will look back and say this is the week we either won or lost the division.
Big win and to gain a game given the P matchups on Wednesday.
Might need Washington to do it again, if only the Rockies series didnt exist and we'd be 3-4 up now sigh.
Of course as soon as Suzuki starts hitting for the first time since May, he goes down.

The early returns on the Gaus trade couldnt have been much better.

Gausman had a 1.2 bWAR in 21 starts with the O's....he already has 0.8 bWAR in 4 starts with the Braves.

This was predictable. He's always been a great 2nd half guy.
