We just need one very high ceiling 30-40 homer power hitter with decent average and a serviceable full time catcher with some upside. Easy, right?

That big power guy eventually should come from C or 3B I guess... Maybe Riley or the international C coming in July

Is any information coming from teams or players really legit at this point in Spring Training? We like to hang on every word like it means something. In most cases it is simply meaningless posturing.

There was actually no information at all coming from the team only he had a little pain. The people were basically saying his year was finished and may never be the same his whole career. That is contract was now useless. That's freaking ridiculous

Olivera singles, Mallex takes over as a PR, he swipes second, Swanson singles him in.

    Crazy.

The guys I've wanted to be on it this spring have all delivered.

Albies' avg is over .360, Olivera is over .400 and Swanson is hitting .300.

In reality we aren't near as far away as people fear if some of these prospects work out. We will need some pitcher to progress quickly and have maybe one big ace pitcher FA signing

Dude, you are doing the same thing.. you are assuming he is fine just because he is playing again. could have had a cortisone shot and just playing through it. I am not saying that is true.. but don't blast people for jumping to conclusions when you are doing the same...

BTW.. I was NOT one of the nay sayers.. I was worried.. but I didn't think his career was over...

This is what I've been thinking. This is especially true if Albies or Swanson moves quickly and Olivera is the guy he was hyped to be.

Ace, Teheran, Newcomb, Wisler, Blair. Yes sir.

Mallex will end up being one of the most underrated prospects in a long time

Dude I wasn't blasting anyone. I never used negative language at all. And no, I actually believe him when he said it wasn't his wrist and then see the results after that statement. At least I had someone saying something (the player himself) to back up my statement

Don't sleep on Fried either... Our bullpen is looking formidable for a long time also

I just cannot believe we got Vizcaino back for Tommy freaking La Stella.

This guy has been even better than I could of imagined and LOOKS to be as dominant as anyone currently in the league.

Fried, Folty and Banuelos all have solid to high ceilings.

I'm still high on Folty, so I hope he comes up as huge as I'm thinking.

No doubt if Folty can harness his stuff he could be dominate. Not has high on Manny as others though

so perhaps my comment was a bit reactionary.. I am still worried about Freeman though... he can have a huge year if healthy.. I just worry if he can stay that way... wrists are a tricky injury..

I think ManBan can be a Wisler type.. just a guy who knows how to get them out... unbelievable change up.. Glavine could tell you how far that can take you..

I hope so. I like his skill set but I'm a little bullish on him still. But a lineup with him anchoring the top could be scary good.

We could have this in a couple years:

    M. Smith RF
    Albies SS
    Swanson 2B
    Freeman 1B
Riley 3B (may be pushing him up a bit)
    Olivera LF
    Inciarte CF
    C? Maybe international?
    Teheran RHP

My point is that it's a REALLY deep lineup.
