I missed most of today's game, how'd Jace look in CF? It's odd we'll play him in CF but never have really used him as a back-up shortstop minus Spring Training. He is a pretty good shortstop from what I've seen too. Nothing special, but certainly good enough to start there too occasionally like a back-up does. I'd argue he's better there than Aybar at this stage of his career and Beckham who we started there some this year. Probably similar or better than d'Arnaud at short too.

That said, if Peterson can back-up everywhere in the IF and OF well enough he'll be able to get plenty of AB's in a Prado type role going forward. Not that I'd rule out starting him somewhere.

He made one great catch where he hit the wall hard. He can play center fine. Not at an Inciarte level, but fine for a backup. I think he'll be good as a supersub the next few year.
