I seriously can't believe the Nationals were able to get Trea Turner in a deal. Dude is so good and I hate it.

What's with announcers today moaning about September roster-size?

I wish we could have gotten Turner from the Padres in one of our deals before the Nats did.
No biggie on today's game since the elephant's contract says he gets the major holidays off anyway.

Inciarte making me look good sticking with my view of him when others here doubted him if they ever believed to begin with. He's now up to .293 with a .737 OPS even with his slow start. He is also hitting .294 vs lefties as well. And as I've said all along going forward he'll put up an OPS better than Markakis and that isn't even considering the huge difference in what they bring on defense (night and day difference of course). Inciarte is only going to get better at the plate in the future as long as he stays healthy, IMO.
To sum it up, Inciarte is a player to build around as his defense is elite and he's a very good leadoff man too.

I think I want to see another year of Inciarte before giving him an extension. Maybe if he would give a very team friendly deal. I dont know what to believe about him, but he has gotten better every year so far.

I've been a doubter of his bat, but I've been very pleasantly surprised with not only his second-half production, but also just how solidly he's been hitting balls (many more line-drives and a lot fewer weak grounders).
I still wish his offensive game were less batting-average-dependent, especially considering his speed hasn't really translated to large stolen-base totals. But he's seemingly made some progress reaching base without a hit (the .064 isoOBP in 2016 is far better than his first two seasons), and if he can improve that further and/or collect a few more XBH, I do think he can be a long-term answer in CF for the Braves, given what he brings with the glove.
Still, unless a substantial discount can be had, I'm with others arguing for another year before extenting.
