Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
Yeah. He's seeming to make a concerted effort to build the AAA squad to provide depth and possible options. Here's a look at a possible projected roster

If a deal is made for Cole I'd guess Andujar is part of the deal and they're going to get Moose or Frazier
Bowden from XM, your main source of baseball info, is now saying the Yankees are close to getting Cole without giving up Torres. You’ll probably hear him tall about it on your next jaunt between trailer park open houses.
There will always be a Cole available in trade. The Braves should not worry about acquiring one until they are ready to benefit from assuming the risk inherent in pitchers. Stroman will be available at the deadline. Archer will likely be available next offseason or deadline. The Braves can pounce then if they are competitive
If the deal was either just Torres or Andujar, Adams, and Frazier I would take the latter deal every day of the week.
Cole probably carries about $50M-$55M in surplus value over the next 2 years.
Yankees prospects are probably valued roughly as:
Torres (FV 60+): $60M+
Frazier (FV 55, stock may have dipped a bit): ~$35M
Andujar (FV 45+): $15M+
Adams (FV 45+): $15M
Montgomery (FV 45): $13M
Torres should be and is a nonstarter. Frazier plus one of Andujar/Adams is likely fair.
If I'm the Pirates I don't trade Cole without getting Frazier, Andujar plus another nearly ready-MLB piece, likely Jordan Montgomery to slide right into the rotation spot Cole just vacated. A package of Frazier, Andujar and Adams/Montgomery would be a clear win.
The Yankees are so good they can probably afford to consolidate 3 average-ish players into a 3-4 win SP, even if it means losing the trade in terms of overall value.

The Braves are really expanding my knowledge of obscure AAAA players.
There have been reports that the Marlins aren't desperate to move Castro, but it wouldn't really make any sense for them to keep him and they're apparently looking to tack his salary on to potential deals. Castro is coming off a nice .300/.338/.545 showing in 2017 and he'll turn just 28 in March, so it shouldn't be that difficult to unload him.
Could he play 3b?
I get the impression Miami is just absolutely desperate to move anyone making above league min

Just an FYI virtually every team in baseball has called the Marlins on Yelich. 20+ at the moment. I would not read into any team as a favorite, and it is still unclear what their plan is.
In my opinion, the Dodgers are at the front of the line for Yelich. LA was in on Ozuna and made a strong play for him. Like when STL pivoted from Stanton to Ozuna, could play out same way here for LA.
