Does the religious wing of (R) have the muscle to decide whether women have Birth Control rights?
IS it really about "birth control" ?

Are you talking about the supreme court battle? That's not about women having birth control rights, it's about being mandated to buy something that they don't support because of their religion.
thank you weso1!

I think they do. Cardinal Dolan could have a big rally about this subject if he wanted to. He can put 'separation of church and state' in the public media if he wanted to but didn't Obama buy him off by not enforcing full ACA against Catholic hospitals?
This is the dumbest fight ever. Just because someone doesn't personally believe in birth control doesn't mean that their insurance they use can't provide it. A way more interesting debate would be from an insurance company.

Birth control is not a "right" of anyone.
It has nothing to do with rights and everything to do with common sense. More people with access to birth control less people draining money from the government.

Count me among those who believe this has less to do with birth control and more with the argument that corporations are "people" as defined by law under the Citizens United decision. They were held to have free speech rights and now the fight is whether or not they are going to have religious rights.
