    Another person dies in jail

Cannot believe someone who admitted to be going through heroin withdraw was just left to be.

Sad that someone died but it was his choice to commit crimes and get addicted to Heroin.

If he was that worried about detoxing in jail he could had gotten off the stuff before he was arrested.

He couldn't keep down medicine (which I presume was methadone or whatever they are using nowadays) ... that's a fairly serious sign of a major underlying issue.

    Despicable.

We've got to hold these systems of government to a higher standard of accountability (and efficacy). Not mindlessly add more layers.

Yup. That's the scary part IMO. THere were all these signs and medical practitioners ignored it. SHows (IMO) a callousness in the prison system.

Well he did CHOOSE that lifestyle and paid the price so why should I feel sorry for him?

Do we have to handhold everyone in this world, or let government tell you what to do, how to feel, what to think?

Now if he didn't commit the crime, try the stuff in the first place it wouldn't happen.

If they took proper care of him, or you know, do their job. Then who cares.

Not after initial of course but I am sorry when someone take drugs and keeps taking them, they made that choice. Are we suppose to hold their hands and sing Kumbayah and please don't commit crimes and get hooked up with that schit.

I have many drug users in may family, three died from them, one gang related death. Do you think we had a pity party? Hell no, we preached and preached they tell us to eff off I can do what the eff I want. Our hands are washed. My dad would not even help me after he ask for me to make the right choices when I did something bad early in life that cause some issues. In the hood we called that tough love. You reap what you sow mentality.

Sad that the dude died in jail but it was his choice to commit crimes, his choice to do drugs. If he was that worried about detoxing In jail, he could had made another choice and quit doing drugs. Personal responsibility.

I find it shady that they dont mention what the outstanding warrants are for. If its some **** like unpaid traffic tickets then he is no way a criminal.

Do you know what detoxing means? It means he wasn't using the drugs and hadn't for some time. Enough that he could admit to not having used them and it being a concern.

Where's the personal responsibility for people to do their job? I hear personal responsibility all the time, but why didn't the medical practitioner recognize this person needed care and got him the care he needed? Instead of doing their job they hid behind doing the minimum because they were dealing with a prisoner, not a person. To me that's what's sickening about our criminal "justice" system.

Attitudes like yours just makes me sad.

I was finally able to find a more local source

    http://kdvr.com/2015/10/19/parents-p...s-county-jail/

"Tabor was booked on one warrant for not complying with his probation on a harassment conviction and failing to appear on charges of speeding and driving under restraint"

    Such a dangerous person.

Before you go on a tirade about something you're unfamiliar with, the dude admitted to using heroin the day before. And if he hadn't use drugs in a while, like you say, he wouldn't be in detox, they'd be out of his system. He wouldnt of died unless he was addicted to drugs as he went to jail.

He wouldn't have died if they took his concern seriously and got him to the hospital when he was struggling with medication. That's not a good sign. Why are the people responsible for caring for him absolved? If someone had a heart attack in jail and there was no response for 3 hours you'd be blaming him on his diet? Not slow response?
