I’m glad the Braves didn’t decide to push Gaus back a day a give Fried a start.

I caught my last Rome game of the year today. The promotions have really taken a toll, but there's still some potential on the roster.
Graffanino is a man among boys and should begin next year in Florida. He never has an ugly swing. Rangel looked really good outside of the 2nd inning. The defense was atrocious with 4 errors. Trey Harris looked good and has excellent taste in walkup music (Baby Boy da Prince "This is the Way I Live.")

On the downside, something wasn't clicking between Bacon and Lugbauer at the end of the game. I'm not sure how they were scored but there were multiple pitches that got past Lugbauer and led to runs. There were also 2 or 3 times in the same inning that with runners on first and third, the runner at first took second without a throw. Drew seemed unable to get the ball out of his glove before the runner was already at second base. It was just a really ugly inning.
    Go get him!

incredible start for anderson. wasn't surprising to see him struggle a bit at first as a (newly-ish) 20-year old in AA. he'll probably still struggle, but that's a great game for someone as young as he is. he might just be a stud.

Braves have really nailed their last 3 drafts.

15- Allard (not withstanding, probably trade bait this winter), Soroka, Riley, Wiegel, Minter, Evan Phillips used to land Gausman.
16- Anderson, Wentz, Muller, Wilson, Cumberland used to land Gausman.
17- Wright, Waters, Tarnok, Zimmermann used to land Gausman.

2018 not withstanding, that's how you do it, but we will have two 1st round picks to use next year to further add to the system after some graduations and expected players traded this winter to help the ML team.
