Did Carms hit right handed against a right handed pitcher?
Did Carms hit right handed against a right handed pitcher?
Yep. We have to limp along plugging holes with whatever is cheap. Imagine our team right now and having $120 million to spend on whatever we want. It's insane!
I think this is the biggest threat to baseball. When half the teams are getting out spent on that scale it's a bad situation.
It was a hard hit ball that Camargo appeared to take his eyes away from. While not charged with an error, I believe most thought it was a play he should have made especially in light of the fact he made a much more difficult catch on a line drive earlier in the game. His "misplay--however labeled" extended the inning and led to a couple of Boston runs.
That said, if/when we lose this game, it'd be pretty unfair to hang all of the blame on Camargo.
Once the Red Sox finish us off tonight, the braves will be 4-12 in the 2nd half vs winning teams.
Da Wright stuff!
Wright's breaking ball is nasty.
Now we get Wright. Seriously Snit, screw you.
That was a nasty pitch.
Beats me; you'll have to ask the official scorer.
I guess the official scorer rationalized his decision because the ball was scorched. However, as I said, Camargo made a more difficult play earlier in the game and the ball in question hit his glove. Were I scoring it, I would've assessed an error.
We're now 1 for our last 15 with RISP. And IIRC, that one hit didn't result in a run.

Wright might not have many innings left but I wish Snitker wasn't so balky with young pitchers. I wish we saw him earlier in this game.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
Pumped, that slider is probably one of the nastiest I seen in a while.
