If he needs to move to LF with Ender back, that's fine (and a potential excuse to send him down for a week without coming right out and admitting it's only about service-time), but I really think he's starting to get much more comfortable. He's taken a little time to adjust with each jump in levels, and he looks like he's getting there at this level to me.
Speaking of LF.. I wonder what the Braves are going to do with HO today.. isn't today the day he is off unpaid suspension? The Braves can't suspend him anymore.. so they have to assign him to a team or cut him... Correct?

These is the kind of comments I just don't understand. It makes it so your opinions on any other baseball matter simply can't be taken seriously.

What Daniel Castro are you watching that provides "stability on offense"? The Daniel Castro hitting .228/.267/.246 this year, or the Daniel Castro that hit .240/.263/.344 last year? He is absolutely terrible offensively and is only useful as a defensive replacement.

Castro can be useful offensively.. he just needs to be used correctly. he is not an everyday player and needs to be treated that way. Yesterday, he was used correctly. Spot starts and pinch hitting is what his role should be.

to the Erick Aybar that is hitting .163 with OBP. .180 AND SLG .198.....and to say that Castro is not better than Aybar at the plate or in the field is just plain wrong....

And remember, stability to the 2016 braves is a very very loose term

The Braves offense is certainly stable. It remains firmly on the low end of mediocrity in a very stable way. I'd love to lose that stability.

Aren't inert gases the most stable? Is there a chemist in the house?

Aybar would have more trade value than Castro.

Fredi knows JJ and Aybar are going to be traded by the FO so I'm sure his marching orders are give them some opportunities.

I mean JJ was put in at 3-0 you can't really give him a more ideal situation.
    Forever Fredi

Noble gases specifically are the most inert / stable, since they have fully-filled outer electron shells.

To me, he's a better version of a guy like Eduardo Nunez (who is currently hitting quite well). Like others here, I don't see Castro as a starter, but I think he could be a really good back-up.

That's how I see him. He is young enough that there is maybe a 10% chance he ends up being an Infante or Prado type player. But even if he doesn't reach that point, he would make a good backup infielder.

Good points Russ, that's what I've been saying too.

BTW, signing Burnett makes sense but don't be surprised if he's not much better than EOF has been. The last time I saw him he didn't look like the old Burnett to me, but hopefully he makes it back and is at least a good lefty specialist again. That said, I like Cervenka a lot so I am not as concerned about bullpen lefties now in a lost season. Plus I am high on Kinman who isn't far off and pitching in AA, not to mention other lefties we will have returning from injury later this year and hopefully early next year. I also don't mind keeping EOF around for now as second lefty because he is such a good fella and could help mentor the kids in our bullpen. I am big on that, I still say having Wagner to mentor Kimbrel and co. was big.
