So Dickey and Colon have been pretty massive busts as signings up to this point.

Braves have put themselves in a precarious and entirely self inflicted position with Swanson. They are caught between "how long can we keep him up without ruining him" and "will we ruin him if we send him down."
He wouldn't be the first rushed star to flame out before they really got started. And that wouldn't be on Swanson IMO but the FO.
So will we lose by 10 for the third time in a week? We're tough to watch right now and there's no end in sight.

If we were more competitive you might send Swanson down. But might as well let him learn here at this point.
Well I mean the goal at the time for him was to compete, not rebuild...
And its' not like we had the Top 3 payroll in baseball like when JS was in charge. We've only accumulated all this "pitching" from unloading talent that helped us compete, and benefit of a nice draft position from sucking.

You want to blame some of our pitching struggles on the seemingly hitter friendly Sun Trust Park but if that was the case we'd be hitting better.
Assuming this game is a loss, the team is now 7-18 (1-8 at home) if you take out the hapless Padres. I know we don't cherry-pick statistics, but I don't even feel that Atlanta has faced any of the best teams in baseball yet. They haven't seen the Cubs, Dodgers, Astros, Rockies, etc. except for a 3-game session with Washington.
The Cardinals have been grabbing us by the pu55y in this series.
Forever Fredi
I'm thinking I should hold up about buying my June 16-17th tickets. 1-5 homestand, tough road trip this week, Swanson likely to be sent down any time now, Julio and folty falling apart, etc... there will be nothing to be excited about with the big club come June 1st. I think I can get good, cheap tickets if I wait. What you guys think?
Our defense is consistently crossed up.
We had the youngest team in baseball in 2013 and finished with 96 wins. Young players often struggle. We had a young team. It struggled in 2014, and we bailed completely. And now we hear talk about getting a young team again and how Wren ruined this and that and blah blah blah. Not saying he didn't make some colossal mistakes (Fredi), but he was clearly not the only problem.
Cards have 34 hits (so far) in the series.
