Cunningham started out so good. Hope he gets a backup shot somewhere.

    Brian, what was better/easier...

Playing next to Andruw in the outfield and watching the greatest defensive centerfielder of all time in his prime, or watching Greg Maddux pitch an hour and a half game where you barely have to move in the outfield?

Brian, have you ever done pro football commentary? Pulling double duty just seems right.

    Brian,

My best friend (Nick) wants to know which is harder. Being a baseball player or football player?

I love John. He could have been the best closer in the game if he hadn’t gotten his head messed up. (Coming to my event, but I’d say that even if he wasn’t)

I wanted to ask you, since you were pretty much the clubhouse leader of the team (or one of them), and when all that stuff went down with Rocker you might be the last person in the locker room he wanted to see.

And FYI Brian, John Rocker for all of the stupid things he said (and still says today), was a very much beloved Atlanta Brave when he was dominating. He still gets love around here for his 99 season.

No he relieved for someone this year. But to go from a "bust" to pitching in 400 games is pretty rad.

Do you have a funny or really neat Maddux story for us? We hear all the Maddux horror stories (funny ones!), and we know Huddy was also a prankster with the one he pulled on Eddie on TV.

I loved how much Mets fans hated Rocker even before he went off the rocker

Eh, he was the #1 overall prospect at one point. I know he's had a good career from a longevity standpoint but never lived up to the hype for sure.

No, but he wasn't Brien Taylor either.

Shorter questions? I’ll post a Maddux Story tomorrow if he has one.
