Heredia probably wants in to exact payback against his former team (not saying that’s a good reason to play him against a RHP).

Mets are without half their lineup - McNeil, Davis and Conforto are all
On the DL. No excuses this series and Degrom is out till after this series too.

Folks will no doubt make this series out to be way more crucial than it is, but it sure would be nice to win 2.
