Unless we go ahead and make a play for a legit bat now, we are staring at another top-5 pick next year.

Rumors floating around that it is a hair line facture.. and that it could be 4-6 weeks. I would say an after All Star break return if that is the case. Just give him the 6 weeks to get fully healed.

When Tyler Moore was trotting around the bases the other day, I was thinking "Hey, he was in Gwinnett last season." And then I thought, "Why is Bonifacio on our team instead of Moore?" Moore would have been a good guy to have around, not only for this situation, but as a more legit bat on the bench.

I hope they don't go out and make a serious run at a guy to replace Freeman, but the front office didn't do a good job preparing for something like this. No real 1B in the system at any level right now.

PS--I wonder if they are going to toss the claw to Dustin Peterson when he starts his rehab. He may not be big league ready, but given the paucity of first basemen in the system, it might be a good opportunity for him to develop some position flexibility.

That would make sense although it's kind of a laugher as in "Casey Kotchman is available."

The best reason to watch the Braves is going to miss significant time. that just sucks. Options, none are good. You could move Markakis to 1b or Phillips, then is Albies ready or not? outside options are just as dismal. How about lets just roll the dice and see what we got, Markakis to 1b and Acuna to the outfield! I can see the site melt down as I even mention it lol

Braves need to make a trade here. Somebody cheap, with a glove.

These scenarios of sticking Markakis/Flowers at 1B are not palatable.

Where's Ken Caminiti when you need him?

    Oh ...

Bowman is a twit who is just using the google machine. But I have a feeling that is more likely the case.

Turrible. maybe we should start unloading players before they regress.

The sound it made, I felt pretty sure it's a fracture. Does that require surgery ?
