Davidson has picked it up this year with the power. If he ends the year on a high note along with Riley then our offensive prospects are looking good.
Coming into the season Riley was rated as 55 FV by fangraphs while Demeritte was I think 45/50 (could be wrong)
You have to remember he is two years younger and playing in more of a pitchers league. He hasn't struck out as much as Demeritte and has some some impressive pop for his age. I would pick Riley over him at this point, but Demeritte has moved up with his good season.

Nice trade. I liked Alvarez, but you have to like getting a player with Demeritte's upside for a scrap heap starter and a decent bullpen arm. Now we have two 3B prospects with bigtime power potential and contact issues, Hopefully one of them can break through.
Awesome deal.
The MLB prospect guys were saying that even though he was #20 for Texas, he "was set for a leap" on their updated rankings.
Going go miss Alvarez. He seemed like someone the league would adjust to quite a bit though. He was getting a lot of swings and misses on pitches out of the zone that I think hitters would eventually learn to lay off.
BTW, Travis went to the same highschool as I did and I had wanted the Braves to draft him the year Texas took him. Glad he found his way home.
3b is bad.
We now have two legit 3b options with in game power. Both are far away but two chances are better than one. Ruiz gives a different option.
Not to mention we got these guys off the scrap heap
