Hypothetically, if the Mets fall out of contention which I think is possible, what would you guys trade for Syndergaard or DeGrom? Short of Acuna and Albies, do we have the chips to make a move?

So far he's managed to hit the "pause button" on his inevitable regression.

I think the Mets are as likely to fall out of contention as we are.

I mean, yes, of course. But the Mets have an older roster with a lot of money tied up in older players and a bottom tier farm system. We are the exact opposite, obviously.

If we are trying to identify future sellers they would be at the top of the list.

Yeah...one really good at bat and then one lucky reaching hit that got in the gap somehow. Wasn’t exactly hit hard.

Not sure that their stable of overpowering SP arms doesn't give them a distinct advantage in that regard. Unless they're decimated by injuries again, I like their chances.

We are getting some great swings tonight. If Newk can hold them to no more than three runs, I think we can win.

He started missing away in the 3rd.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
