"I am a victim, I will tell you. I am a victim."
"I am your retribution."
It's not. The whole reason were speaking of this is that I have no issuing calling something bad when it's bad. I feel terrible for someone getting assaulted regardless of the reason.
It shouldnt be hard to call out bull **** when there is bull ****.
You and others went out of your way to go to bat some people's attacks because you were OK with who got attacked.
When I post something about conservatives getting harassed for simply existing, yall defend it bc its legal.
The news media is bad hid a massive massive story for 3 years, but goldy only wants to talk about fox.
Yall are so partisan that you cant think critically about literally anything that isn't 'orange man bad'
Haha, well you can miss me with that. I think that corporate media is mostly horribl, protects elites, and soft-pedals all kinds of stuff precisely because it depends on ad revenue to survive. I’m surely not surprised that NBC protected Lauer. He made money for them. I’m surely not surprised that CBS was loathe to bounce Moonves—because he’s about the elite-est of the elite and they protect their own. I acknowledge the problem, but instead of grafting a partisan analysis on it, I prefer one that’s mostly economic. Whether it’s Les Moonves or Matt Lauer or Steve Wynn, those folks only get cut loose when they become financial liabilities. Let’s be perfectly clear here—that’s the world YOU prefer. You think P/L trumps everything. You don’t think popular outrage should control a company’s hiring/firing decisions. So why do you have a problem with NBC protecting Matt Lauer or CBS slow-walking Moonves’s exit? It’s hard to have it both ways, here.
There’s another dimension to this entirely, too, and that is that it’s hard to bitch about #MeToo and people losing their livelihoods to accusations while simultaneously arguing, say, that NBC protected Matt Lauer. Seems to me like your willingness to accept accusations of sexual assault, etc, are mostly dependent on your ideological outlook.
Oh here we go again...
The media can do whatever it damn well pleases.
But idiots who think they are an honest portrayal of the news are wrong.
They intentionally misinform. That is their right. But Trump is right to call them what it is
For that to be true he would have to not support fake news himself.
"Donald Trump will serve a second term as president of the United States.
It’s over."

I don’t only want to talk about Fox News
I o my bring up Fox News in your dumb thread cause you don’t

Always funny when republicans talk about religious liberty
It’s only for Christians and only so they can disrespect and treat others as 2nd class citizens

Josh Holmes is former chief of staff and campaign manager to Mitch McConnell. Yesterday's results are being looked at very carefully. Mitch McConnell is nothing if not calculating. He and his colleagues in the Senate are going to weigh things mainly on the basis of self-preservation in the next few months, as they always do. They are faced with nothing but bad choices. But some are worse than others and at the end of the day they will do their due diligence and choose the least bad choice. Suburbs and independents saying they've had enough of the circus. A lot of municipal seats around the country flipped last night. The pros are looking at that carefully.

And this is true of both utterly hypocritical sides. The right supports the destruction of that all-woman country band who criticized Bush, but not the firing of the old bearded duck guy who hates gays, blacks, and women. The left supports the financial destruction of Chick-filet, but not against Starbucks. Until someone can be intellectually honest and consistent, to hell with all of you on this issue.

I'm actually more of a right leaning independent. I've voted primarily Republican in national/state elections (aside from 2016) and remaining mostly neutral in local elections. Among the Dem candidates so far, I'm not super impressed with any of them, but I've warmed up to Warren. But I'd honestly choose just about any of them over Trump. I probably align with Sestak the best among the Dem candidates, but he doesn't appear to be a serious contender at this point.
From the Republican side there isn't much to choose from currently, but I Bill Weld isn't completely terrible, though he's a little too left leaning on some issues. Weld would be my pick if it was Weld vs. the other Dem candidates (it surely won't be). If Trump resigned/was impeached I suspect Romney would run again and at that point I would get behind Romney.
Justin Amash would be my selection if something changed and he decided to run.

I moved the article to the other thread on 2020. I'll vote for Warren, but she is my least favorite of the major Dem candidates both from a policy and persona point of view. In terms of electability I think that is becoming less of an issue. Any of the Dem candidates is going to win easily.

It's not bizarre at all. I see Trump as a disgusting human being, a cruel grifter and power hungry criminal. Almost every action and Tweet from him confirms it. He deserves to be punched in the nose as he has asked for violence against his opponents, opponents who are btw just decent human beings trying to block his evil impulses.
Extracting him from his imagined throne will have to be as ugly and messy as he is. But the folks who have been drawn in to his brand of cruelty will simply slink away and try to act like nothing happened.
