Yeah it stinks we couldn't work out a trade considering he's having a career year. But Neck is continuing his late career resurgence so it evens out. I'm just super impressed at quality of work Neck has given us the last 2 years.

That said the guy has shown he can excel in this role. It’s a tough role. Some say comargo is coming back to true talent but I’m not sure. It’s hard to play part time and multiple spots.

I don’t know how the extensions work but would it make sense to do 3/6million with a team option on the end?
I would not. I don't suspect he'll ever make more than 5 million annually, so there is really no reason to give him guaranteed money.

Yup Ender has been super valuable. Even last year he was a 3 WAR player. He's struggled a good bit this year, but he's also had some super crappy luck. And he's always been a way better 2nd half hitter.

I only know one place on the interweb and it is this sub. Telling me there are other portals of information on this site only scares me. Keep it simple on the web is my motto. Plus dial up connection take to long to load new areas.

I wanted an upgrade at cOF, but I can't argue with Markakis' performance in 2018 and thus far in 2019. He is who he is. He doesn't give away many ABs. Limited value at this point in his career, but he doesn't out and out hurt the team.

We control Culberson for two more years and he'll be 33 entering free agency. At that point we probably won't want him, but if we do it we can almost definitely take it on a year by year basis. No reason to guarantee him money.

Add 2 starts at AAA to that too. Newcomb now has 70 grade control.

ETA... on a serious note about newcomb, I thought after the 2 straight hits to start his inning he'd get to sweating bullets and get wild. He didn't... stayed poised and responded
