I don't speak for sturg, but the main reason that I'm bothered by large social justice marches and protests is the way they are portrayed by the majority of the media including non news media and social media platforms. I could care less if there are marches for social justice, if they are presented honestly. But they aren't, imo. And those who speak out against social justice movements are many times absurdly labeled white supremacists or nazi's sometimes by major media outlets and often by University officials. The leaders of social justice movements go out of their way to tie dissenters to despicable actors. It's a way to shut down debate. I personally also believe that the social justice movement is a dangerous movement. It's a movement that embraces unearned moral superiority and propaganda over intellectualism. I think a more interesting question is why do so many folks who claim to embrace intellectualism have apathy when it comes to the issue of social justice?

Homeboy has autism of some sort. He can't even engage in a debate with this woman without looking at her. Not to mention the mannerisms and way he talks. Maybe he struggles with identifying with women like this because he lacks empathy.

Because I'm tired of the "look at me protests" that are based on lies. Women don't equality - they want preferential treatment.

Woman are NOT discriminated against in this country.

And for 3 million people to organize a march for equal rights (but subsequently ban pro-life women's groups) strikes me a tremendous waste of energy and time.

The left claim they are the intellectuals of logic and reason - but these dumb protests are the opposite of it.

Because it should have been done during the Obama years but because it didn't and all of a sudden started 20 days ago? They planned this now. If Hillary the Hag was president, there wouldn't be any marches but the problem have and still exists.

    Hmmmmm?

Sturg ask them why do it now and if they would have done it if the Hag was president? Did these problems exist last year at this time and did Obama try to fix it? Hell naw he didn't. He didn't give to schits about their rights as he has bigger fish to fry, like his legacy. Now I understood why my Black Caucus mentor and friend told me about how they kept their mouth shut around Obama. Women's rights, Black rights, don't exist in his world. But since Douchebag is president, it is a fine time to march. How convenient.

This is thdd most obvious thing ever. Did Hillary run a campaign that was anti-Obamacare, anti-Planned Parenthood, anti-Abortion rights?

    Does it matter?

What Hillary would have done to address Women's issues? Also has president Douchebag done anything to curtail women's rights that still existed in the last eight years?

I have not seen any Trump laws that curtail the last eight years, on the contrary he is extending what Obama did in a lot of instances. Outside of rewriting Obamacare in the correct way (and we actually get to read it thoroughly and not pass it without knowing what was in there, aka, the Dummicrat way of non transparency) he left in the most important element, EXISTING conditions, that is all I cared about because that is what insurance companies HATE.

hey now, Hillary was all for lighter prison sentences for women. You know, because they are mothers who need to be with their children and are given such harsh sentences compared to men.

Now these idiots are planning a "day without women." Alexandria county public school are shutting down tomorrow because of it.

This is a complete joke and I hope they get fired for not showing up.

Are they going to protest the gender bias in hiring public school teachers since one gender makes up 76% of teachers?

Weird that these dumb protests haven't caused the country to shut down.

Still not clear on what the ask is... seems like just an excuse to not work.

But hey - keeping kids out of school is worth to hysterically scream about rights that are currently not denied

Still not one person has been able to articulate a right women don't have that men do.

And they won't, because there are none.

But let's not stop them from feeding into a stereotype that will eventually undermine the respect they earn

If they want to protest something how about starting with this.
