Sometimes players develop later on in their career. Past doesn't always dictate future.

Careful now. That kind of thinking is not welcome here. (Young guys get better with experience too)...

I would not at all be upset with a Folty/Julio/Newcomb/Garcia/Medlen rotation the rest of the season

Kemp turning a routine out into a diving play haha.

Eye test proves he's a good defender!

His average launch angle this year is high. Perhaps that's making the difference.

I hate to be a debbie-downer about Chip and Joe's discussion about the Braves being 9 games better through 68 games (this year compared to last year). I remember that the Braves had a BRUTAL schedule for all of April and much of May. In fact, Atlanta's Strength of Schedule ranks 30 out of 30 right now, and they aren't really close to the #29 team (Washington).

I look at our schedule this year and see how bad the NL East is -- the worst division in baseball -- and yet Atlanta is only 16-20 vs. the East this year. They have also yet to play any of the NL West teams that have 40 wins or more in LAD, COL, or ARI. They have also yet to play the struggling yet defending World Champion Cubbies.

I do see improvement, but I think comparing records is irrelevant.

Chip and Joe's conversation is painfully awful for a lot of reasons.

they completely lost me when comparing FF and Trout injuries.. but were they saying Adams helped the Braves and then said Angels had a better record since. I was so lost..

So when does Game7 strike? We all know Dickey can throw 140 pitches.. but with only a 2 run lead, I don't think Dickey has a long leash at this point...

Would be nice if Dickey could string together 4-5 good starts before the deadline.

I really think Chip pulls Joe down with him. I really liked Joe when he was paired with Jon Sciambi.

He will go to Ramirez at some key point who will allow a Buster Posey game-tying home run.
