He figured this was a good time to go out since he finally caught a throw at the plate and made a tag.

The one thing I'll always take heat for - he was a great acquisition from the day we landed him (as evidenced by that reaction from his teammates), and I could give two *hits about his numbers - he always did it "right" regardless of what some fans wanted to think.

I loved getting him from Day One, and hope he'll stay involved with the organization on some level.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I wish he was retiring and hope AJP is in no way part of this organization either after his retirement or the end of the season

Not sure why AJP would retire with a few weeks left to go unless he was injured.

    Finish out the season.

And there it is: #Braves place Pierzynski on 15-day DL with strained hamstring. C Blake Lalli called up from Gwinnett.

A guy like AJ never quits. He has a will of iron. In a different era he might have been Lavrenti Beria.

i hope some other organization is dumb enough to let him ruin some young pitchers and do an awful job behind the plate
