    So who replaces fredi then?

I think he's trotting BJ out there to the point BJ has no more argument to go in his office and demand to be hitting #2.

We all know Beej won't be hitting 2 by August.
    Forever Fredi

I hope his saving face/making a point/bailing on a decision is worth digging the team into a hole it might not get out of.

Considering you guys always say Fredi doesn't have the balls to make a tough decision or gamble, this is a perfect example like taking Kimbrel out that night in New York.
    Forever Fredi

This isn't about making a decision. It is his same old stubborn bull**** and you know it. And we say he can't ADAPT quickly. Much different than making a "decision" in ST and sticking with it regardless of the result.

Last year Fredi was willing to bat BJ lower in the order and bench him at times. What changed? Bizarre.

As things go the Nats just have to play .500 ball agaisnt the Braves the rest of the way and they will win the East pretty easily.
We've had some brutal losses the past couple of weeks which has skewed our run differential. Now that we seem to have gotten the pitching straightened out (mainly the bullpen) I don't think you'll be seeing many 10-2 games anymore.

He didn't really start benching BJ until July. Bj went on DL for a while.

It is simple. Someone important criticized his handling of BJ and so this year he is proving it isn't his fault BJ sucks, the team be damned.

He moved BJ around constantly and gave him a day off barely a week into the season.

The Braves have still played sub .500 baseball when you take the games out against the Nats. That is not good.

Totally, and that's mainly because of our offense which unquestionably has to get better. But, I still have a hard time believing it's going to stay this bad all year.

The offense is putrid, but we have seen the last two games what is going to be the nail in the coffin for us, we have no depth. Not in the pitching nor position players and it will bite us eventually.

Par for the course for this Braves team. Had a chance to really do some damage and freaking crumbled the last two days. At least we split, I guess.

I deplore Upton the Elder, but you could have strung all of our baserunners together today and we still would have likely come up short.

Everyone was clamoring for La Stella to move up in the order. Fredi moves him up and La Stella proceeds to go 3-30 with a couple of walks. Let's face facts, this team is miserable offensively. Simply miserable. And there a lot of contributors to that misery. I'm not letting Upton the Elder off the hook, but this is a pretty miserable offensive team.

I can absolutely see BJ, CJ, and Simmons continue to be this bad all year. That leaves Heyard, Gattis, Freeman, JUP, and La Stella to carry the offense. That's a lot to ask imo with a handicap of 3 brutal hitters.
