We have to hope Folty’s velocity decline is dead arm pitchers get at the end of ST and not a sign of a real issue.

These guys need a kick in the butt to get going. I would rather be flat terrible than be somewhere in the middle. Second, Tommy looked like he wanted to smack Frenchy during the CC debate.

I’ve really enjoyed Frenchy so far this year but it’s debates like that one that make him sometimes cringeworthy.

He's not elite but he can play his position at an above average rate.

So we shouldn't extend him right now?

Folty might be ded for the season if he can't get back that extra oomph on the fastball. If he can't, teams won't whiff on it much, and can just ignore sliders that aren't hangers even if he gets back the 2018 like movement on the slider. So hopefully this is dead arm, but it's something that needs to be monitored over the next two starts for him.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Charlie is quickly going to be a fan favorite and I think he will see some more bullpen action. His stuff is not bad, he need some outings in the bullpen.

When you can pitch in the low 90's which we saw a decent slider and curve, it would not be bad. He just need to control it but with our bullpen he fits in.

Dr. Scheff what do you think for a position player that can hit decently. The guy from Milwaukee who switch from position to a somewhat decent reliever.

Carle optioned, Touki scratched in Gwinnett. Hopefully those are related and it’s not an injury.

One and only important thing to take away from today’s game. This team needs a healthy Folty.

Just for fun Dr. Scheff, can you grade out our Wonder Twin? I won't say Charlie and get the Shaq stare from Sav (TNT Shaq stare at Barkley, it was awesome).

Passable pitcher when we are getting blown out or winning and saving the bullpen.

This is funny, but at least somewhat doable since he threw 25 pitches.

The heater grades out as about a Grade 10 FA or a Grade 25 SI. The velocity is Grade 30/35 though.

He only threw 3 SLs, but the movement grades out pretty well at 45/50 HMov and 40 VMov. It's super slow at 77 mph though.
