    Big series this weekend

    Sanchez vs strasburg
    Newcomb vs gio
    Folty vs scherzer

Both teams need to get off to a good start in the 2nd half, but the nats especially. If braves could win this series, the nats could go into panic mode going into trade deadline. If braves sweep or get swept, it's trouble for the one that gets swept. Got to at least win 1 this weekend
    Swanson sucks

I think all 3 are great.

Friday - sanchez has been great. Strasburg coming off DL

    Sat - both are struggling...
    Gio last 10 starts: 52.0 ip 25 bb 39 k
    Newcomb last 10: 52.1 ip. 28 bb 39 k

Sunday - nothing to say. Great matchup

Let's cross our fingers that newcomb becomes gio. I'd love him to be ~ 3 fWAR pitcher

25 year old Newk = 32 year old Gio.

Looks like the folks pimping Newk were right after all!
