Interesting to see Graham and Gilmartin still rated where they are after struggling with injuries in the past year.

Hale got a boost from a handful of major league innings when he pitched extremely well. The sample was tiny and they may have overreacted a bit in pushing him up so much.

I would have found a spot for Wes Parsons in the Top 10.

Agreed. I would have not put Gilmartin in the top 10 although prior to the injury issues this year he looked like a pretty sure bet to be a back end rotation starter.

Thats a strong list IMO. To have a guy like Peraza as your sixth best prospect is impressive.

I think putting La Stella 9th speaks volumes of how they look at him, and IMO correctly so. He is not a high ceiling prospect that is going to put up big power numbers or steal a bunch of bases, nor is he a defensive whiz. What he is, is a solid prospect that has an excellent eye at the plate and is going to put up high OBP numbers with a good amount of doubles and play an adequate 2nd base. And on a team full of higher ceiling, low OBP type players, he would fit in perfectly.

Pretty impressive showing from last years draft having one at 4 and 8. Hursh's start was nothing short of unreal. Drafting high upside guys can certainly spice up a list in a hurry!

While Hursh's ERA looks great the BB/K rate is not so great and for a college pitcher with a power arm I would expect more K's/IP from him than what was posted at single A.

The system just keeps churning out productive players year after year. We could see Bethancourt, Graham, Hale, Gilnartin, Northcraft, Shae Simmons, Cody Martin, La Stella and maybe even guys like Thomas, Hoyt, and Schlosser graduate this year. I won't be surprised if Graham has a similar year to what Wood did this year.

I wouldn't quibble too much. Those two are in the 11-15 group in my list.

You feel old? When I saw that the Braves won the World Series 18 years ago, it reminded me that I was starting my senior year of high school when the Braves won that series.

BTW, I hope the Braves continue to draft these college arms. It has served them well recently with Mike Minor, Sean Gilmartin, JR Graham, Cody Martin, and now Jason Hursh. Some will debate Gilmartin, but he's a solid control guy who profiles as a back of the rotation guy.

Actually pretty much where he should be IMO...as mentioned, while he's not one of those "wow" tools guys, he's got a high floor which he should be able to maintain given his plate discipline. Classic everyday "glue" or "lunchpail" type guys that successful organizations always seem to have around.

Meh, don't get to wound up in it. Great fastball with movement. Probably gets a lot of weak contact.
