Remember when some of y'all tried to defend Sims' lack of stuff last week. Pepperidge Farms remembers.

Remember when some of us gave the same "report" about Sims since rookie league? Sometimes the bulb is on and then it's not. It is what it is.

I have a feeling this guy is Wisler 2.0. I could be wrong but this guy doesn't have good stuff.

He's looked great at third. It seems to be an easy move for a lot of second basemen.

That's the best swing I've seen him have personally from the left early on. And of course...caught.

I'm not liking all the flyballs Albies hits left handed to the opposite field. He may drive one occasionally for an extra base hit that way, but needs to lower that launch a bit to maximize his skill set.

Have to agree. I don't think it's he has to remove his leg kick but he needs to alter his launch angle from that side just a bit and he should be good to go after that.

It's the same on the defensive scale. Really it's just about having the arm for it.

Wouldn't be a terrible idea depending on the price. It's good now because he's literally like league minimum. Not sure what he would sign for in the offseason.

Having played both positions (not well), there is a fair amount of difference between 2B and 3B. You're further away from the ball at 2B and balls generally don't get right on top of you as quickly. Basic footwork is the same, although the pivot and a couple of other things make 2B a bit more complicated in that regard.

There are some differences yeah. IMO if you can play 2nd at the major league level you should be able to play 3rd about the same. Again the big factor at that level is having the arm.

I am less convinced, but agree with you that the arm will be the big question. I just think the first-step requirement is steeper and more important at 3B. You can't flinch over there and recover.
