If he can’t hack it he could be put in the bullpen. I think the move for the Braves is to move him before everyone knows for sure what Allard is.
Getting rid of him before he loses all value as a starter is an idea I can get behind. He got rocked by the Marlins and Nationals.

Everyone already knows for sure what Allard is.

Do you think there’s a single MLB FO incapable of looking at the same statcast data I used to grade his stuff?

We can still hope there's a Dave Stewart out there who saw enough value in Phil Gosselin to give us Touki.

The data is constant but how it is interpreted by each individual front office is different. There is still a lot that is unknown about Allard. I suggested a package of Newk Swanson and Allard however and what that could potentially get us. An upgrade at SS would be ideal

Scouting was down on Allard before he came up. I'm sure he can be traded but it's not going to really be for good value at the moment unless you make him a throw in.

Honestly its a real shame because when you look at what he was doing when he was 16, you can see why almost every scout was drooling all over him. At that point before the back injury, he was a lefty with a 92-94 fastball, a big curve, and screamed projection to those scouts (not just the Braves scouts). He looked like he had big league stuff in that video right then and there. Somehow even the curve he was known for is nowhere near as dominant as it looked then. The changeup is much better, but the fastball and curve took major steps backward after that game.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

I think Allard is a secondary piece in a deal but one that holds a fair amount of value. He’s more than just a throw in but definitely not a headliner.

Well, no. It doesn’t help improve it in the way a prospect like Soroka, Anderson or Wright would, but it objectively doesn’t decrease the value.

Daniel Murphy is a guy to keep an eye on. The Nats just stuck him on waivers.

Would the Braves accept below average defense at 3b to get an .850 OPS bat in the lineup vs RHP?

He'd be an excellent pick up.

Daniel Murphy's legs are gone, he's nothing more than a pinch hitter on a winning team. Having said that he's a better bench option than EF.

Sucks the Braves had to go cheap for bullpen help at the deadline. Hope this is not what costs the team. The Rockies series should be an eye opener.

Or it's just an unlucky stretch and an outlier.

Rockies are crazy hot. Despite that, we still should have split with them if not for 2 crazy flukey 9th inning comebacks.

A true talent 80 win team plays like a .500 team for an extended period of time.

That, and other shocking news, at 11!

I'd absolutely love to grab Murphy.
