With Flowers awful play of late and this probably being Mac last year in MLB, would we look at Grandal? Brewers are reportedly talking about a trade for him.

    From MLBTR

    other trade candidates

    Brewers: Yasmani Grandal, Mike Moustakas

Not with the glaring holes elsewhere. I think Catcher is likely way down in the list

I bet he has $10M+ left since there was talk of him getting both DK and CK.

    Wilson 18.3 12.2
    Wright 17.1 15.9
    Teheran 21.3 10.6

Newcomb got four starts in which he put up a 4.16 FIP, which would rank third on the team. That's entirely consistent with his 4.14 FIP last season and his 4.19 FIP in 2017. His season FIP is 3.63.

When he was pulled from the rotation he was outperforming Teheran, Folty and Gausman in FIP and BB rate.

Pretty sure the ask for Garrett will be steep - how steep when looking at our system is the question. I think the biggest problem with him is that he simply walks too many guys to be an option as a Closer.

They'd certainly present another one-stop shop option though. Roark for the rotation, Iglesias to close, and Puig to hit behind Donaldson? Yes, please.

(Weigel, Wentz, and Davidson for those three?)

Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Bowman: The Mets are continuing to evaluate the Braves’ top prospects. Edwin Diaz appears to be a more likely target than Syndergaard. Wheeler is also in play at a lesser cost. Our

....you're using a lot of numbers from his days in the pen, where he's shown to actually be a weapon - unlike the other guys.
LOL at using his FIP in his three starts to begin the year. i mean, come on. two of them were jokingly bad. his xFIPs for them were terrible.
and um, no also in regards to BB rate. he was at 5.95 in his first 3 starts. all of those guys have better BB rates than that - easily.

You are including a lot of data from his BP innings. Just stop...

Newk is finally where he belongs, and is where he has belonged for a long time now.

I'll guess Edwin Diaz, Aaron Bummer and Hunter Pence.

There are a lot of options out there. Alex Wood is another one that gets mentioned now and then. Could help either in the pen or the rotation.

This is not a rumor. Mark DeRosa suggest the braves make the following trade

Braves get: Charlie Blackmon and Scott Oberg
Rockies get: Ender Inciarte and 2 top prospects

Btw I’m out on this deal

    Blackmon splits:
    Home: 38G 164AB .415AVG .470/.848/1.318 16HR
    Away: 51G 215AB .247AVG .283/.395/.697 5HR

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of Hunter Pence

It's generally understood that Rockies players suffer a non-Coors effect that negatively impacts their batting line such that simply using their road splits as a predictor of their production for a new team is not valid at all.

Having said that, I don't think the Braves make a change in CF. The Acuna/Inciarte platoon is just fine, and they are more likely to add a cOFer who is good enough to play everyday, but can slide into a part time role if/when Markakis returns.

Puig and Pence make sense, and I'll guess Pence since he's seen as a positive clubhouse guy.

Pence is a 4 time all-star and two time WS winner. Need to trade for him and give him a 4 year extension.
