Expect the Braves to utilize the 10 day DL a lot this season. This is precisely why they are acquiring so many mediocre pitching options they can cycle through all season.

Is that post (director of major-league operations) above the GM? I assumed it was like "Top Lieutenant in Charge of Rules and Junk", right under the GM?

When there is a descriptive nature to your title to me that means you are specialized in that one area so therefore would be underneath the 'general' manager.

#Braves have also hired Jason Pare as assistant GM of research and development. Pare worked as senior director of analytics for the Marlins since 2016.

Another good sign.

The dinosaurs are being put out to pasture. This scandal might end up being a net positive in the end.

These are great hires. Tamin decdloped the player evaluation system the Dodgers use. The other was the head of an analytics department

I wouldn't read too much into what they've done so far, but my guess is they will do a lot of things the Dodgers have done where it translates to Atlanta's payroll.
