    The Dodgers are incredible, but baseball is driven by extreme parity. If the Dodgers and the Marlins/Orioles played a 7 game series 100 times, the Marlins/Orioles would win at least a handful of those series.

    If we played the Dodgers 100 times in a 7 game series, we should win at least 25-30 of those.

    That's why the goal in baseball should be to make the playoffs as often as possible. I don't really like the idea of selling out your future chances at the playoffs for 1-2 seasons of a slightly better chance at a championship. There are just too many funny things that can happen in baseball.
