Great job Hillary. Trump looked silly tonight. Nowhere near ready to be president.

Hillary won the debate in terms of efficacy.

Trump won the debate in terms of reaching out to the undecideds.

    Trump more effective.

Hillary trying to play long game.

Again, Hillary might have won the debate in the traditional sense.

But Trump has closed the gap in polls in almost all important states and national polls.

He did a better job of attacking Hillary to the average person than Hillary making her own case to the average joe.

I dunno, I fully expect the next round of polls to show her regaining her comfortable lead

I don't think it moved the needle much one way or the other. I think most people are dug in at this point.

I think Trump was great in the first 15 minutes, but since then it was a yuge Hillary win. Trump was too caught up in his narcissism, rather than continuing to attack Hillary on the issues. Her team of psychologists should be paid well after tonight.

The only two things Trump can hope for is that viewers were only sober for the first 15 minutes and Lester Holt's questions and follow ups were pretty biased and he can use that has his excuse.
    thank you weso1!

I don't care if Holt asked what her favorite movie was. Trump has had 15 months to articulate real positions, and he can't beyond two or three phrases.

I agree that Trump blew it, but Holt's questioning shouldn't be ignored.

Lester was not great but his questioning was fine. Trump cant take criticism. He was all bluster. Again he ran on about stop and frisk. How the hell does that solve race relations and helps the black community. This is why most blacks cant vote for him. Along with him not apologizing for the birther stuff. He is a racist.

Trump is touting his performance on the online polls. I wonder if he used online poll results to influence all his star-spangled awesome business decisions, too.

If I was Hillary I would try to get out of the next two debates if the polling starts to show her pulling way ahead.

Instead of watching the debate I watched Doug Stanhope and Marc Maron standup specials, I don't regret a thing.

I only have Netflix, so by you all's posts, I am glad I miss the trainwreck by two candidates. Too bad we did not have 3rd party in there to mix things up. Voting for one side of the other does not sit well with me, especially with the choices we have.

I'm not sure I've thought that Trump has ever won a debate, and yet sadly here we are.... Who's to say this doesn't resonate with "rednecks" in OH, PA, MI, etc. At least I'm not getting my hopes up that it won't.

Well, I'm not sure fine is quite accurate. He left tons of room for Trump to make this into another glaring example of media bias and that just plays into Trump's game plan.

Oh, but Trump is a buffoon - he could have easily and could have constantly pivoted to her but like others have said, he's too much of a thin- skinned narcissist. And yeah, he might not want to play the racist card so much. Good grief.

If I had to answer a question of who won the debate, I'd say neither one. Trump missed chances to hit Hillary on emails and untrustworthiness and Hillary did nothing to show she is more than what her detractors already think of her. I doubt a big percentage of undecided voters were swayed tonight.
