Watching Newk pitch is a nightmare. Dude is literally throwing to the worst of the worst in terms of major leaguers.

Holy hell, Newk. Again, from a pitching factor, this is a minor-league squad. This is just really sad to watch.

Yup. A 2-0 lead against Marlins should be an easy one to preserve. The pitching is going to be there but the offense is literally one of the worst I've seen in a long time.

Wright needs more refinement, but by the way it's looking, it's simply going to be better to deal with that instead of Newcomb, which is kind of sad, but Newcomb is digging his own grave here.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

    He's aiming, not pitching.

I just don't get how you can become rattled by the freaking Marlins. It's literally illogical.

Leave Wright and Fried in the rotation and send Newcomb down when Folty is ready.

Meanwhile touki has walked 3 in 2.2 ip. This organization is severely lacking in strike throwers

I'm not a pitching coach, so I don't know how to fix pitching mechanics. But right now, we cannot depend on Newcombe to be an effective starting pitcher. When Folty returns, no way Newcombe should be in the rotation. Send him to Gwinnett or Mississippi to fix his issues.

I don't disagree with you, but he's got to be nearly 100% demoted once Folty is back. He's a talented guy but he's got to get his head back on his shoulders.

Dude, Soroka just went five innings of no-hit ball and walked NONE. Max Fried... Gaus literally walked the first two batters and no more. I get the frustration, but this really isn't fully true.

Watching Newk throw is sickening. Walk a backup catcher after a 1-2 count is not excusable, then walk the tying run in with bases loaded is a major mistake.

Glad Folty will be back soon, then hopefully we won't have to suffer with more errant throws towards the plate from Newk.

Fried might've been great in his first start but yeah, his command isn't good either. The best chance at a strike throwing TOR type has to prove he can stay healthy.
