When’s the last time we had two catchers who could actually hit on the same team? This is awesome.
Beyond last year, McCann and Gattis. McCann and Ross. McCann, Gattis, and Laird.

And our offensive numbers are pulled down over a couple years by Corky Miller.

Braves have a remarkable history of great catchers dating all the way back to Boston, I made a post on it last year than no one seemed to care about.

A true Braves killer. Piazza was awesome. Probably my favorite Mets player ever.

At least his teams never beat the Braves in any meaningful way

A great catching prospect in her own right. Receives behind the plate really well. Can get the ball(s) to second base on her knees on a line ala Benito Santiago.

Her BABIP (Batting average on balls in play) is second to none.

Chip always liked her because she didn't strike out a lot. She liked to put the balls in play. Chip would have loved to call one of her AB's in her prime: "And she fisted that one through the hole the other way!"
