I think that puts to bed the thought of Acuña coming up in September

Four were draft picks or International signees, four were acquired in trades (Fried, Toussaint, Jackson, Seymour).

It really doesn't matter if you are going to the AFL, you can still get pulled up. It's only players that have exceeded the rook limits that are not allowed to go to the AFL.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Outside of Acuna I can see all them on the block. So this should be fun to follow.

Kind of surprised that Demerritte isn't going back.

Riley's work since his promotion - combined with the questions surrounding what they decide to do at the hot corner and Demeritte's struggles - has obviously put Riley on the fast track to a point. Going to be really interesting to see which way the brass (whichever part makes the decision) decides to go. I've obviously been in the Moustakas camp (so long as we can get him for less than 5 years), but if you're a Riley believer and not afraid to push youngsters (which at least describes part of the front office) picturing a Riley/Rio platoon late next season isn't out of the question.

Pretty easy to guess that we could see everyone on the list other than Touki, Jackson, and Seymour in Atlanta at various points next season.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

If he isn't untradable, Clouse is the next-closest thing. People are in awe of his stuff. Minter 1A. Can't see trading Jackson either with all the work they've done to turn his career around.

I think Clouse is safe. I see what you're saying on Ajax, but he profiles best in LF/DH long term so I feel as though he's always on the block.

You look for progression in a rebuild and comparing these lists shows signs of progression

2015- Lucas Sims, Daniel Winkler, Andrew Thurman, Connor Lien, Johan Camargo, Joseph Odom
2016-Travis Demeritte, Dustin Peterson, Chris Ellis, Akeel Morris, Evan Phillips, Brad Roney, Kade Scivicque
2017- Ronald Acuna, Max Fried, Touki Touissant, Austin Riley, Alex Jackson, Corbin Clouse, Josh Graham, Anfernee Seymour

For the record, I've never seen Anfernee Seymour. But in my mind he looks just like Lil Penny Hardaway from the commercials.
