William Contreras isn't a teen though and people were surprised he wasn't given a shot at Rome last year.

I think this is giving Drew Waters and William Contreras a chance to state their case on where they start next year with Florida's problems rain wise. They do well, they might get themselves placed in AA to start 2019 or start in Florida with the chance to be accelerated to AA quickly before the Florida summer rains commence if they continue.
Braves seem to be clustering talent in the upper minors now.

Weird Anderson hasn't been moved yet.

Anderson is done.. 7.2 innings of no hit ball.. Actually got 3 outs in the 8th.. wild pitch on a K allowed the runner to reach 1st.. also on BB and one error mixed in his night.

I don't know how good of a hitter Pache will be, but there is no way 6 guys on Mississippi are better than him. Bat him 1st, and let him get ABs

Looking back at the Anderson draft Coppy may have picked the best guy at 3. Grooms and some of the others after him have fallen off the planet. He’s been a stud so far and just continues to get better.

Was thinking this, too. That Mississippi roster sucks and they aren’t a good team. No reason to have Pache this low. That needs to change soon.

As far as players picked after him, AJ Puk has the best argument, though Anderson is having an arguably better time with A+ despite being 2-3 year younger.

Now leading league in Ks and 2nd in ERA after tonight's no hit performance.

This is damning with faint praise. The top of that draft looks awful. Though to be fair, a lot of that is due to injury.

Bo Bichette has a pretty strong argument as well.
