Hope Cub fans aren't watching ESPN 2. The Bartman documentary is on.

Or 2018 or beyond because our current FO is building a team that will be young, talented, exciting on a sustainable basis with the farm system never allowed to dip again.

Don't worry, the Mets used up a huge amount of pixie dust against the Cubs. You might say they borrowed against the future in that department.

Good or the Mets. I don't have any problem with them, they built their team the right way and didn't try and buy a championship.

    Because it worked.

They grew pitchers, and bought hitters.

Why the hate for the Mets? They haven't been a threat or a real rival for a long long time. Better them than the Nats or Cardinals.

I personally hope they win it all. They are a good young team tag doesn't play like bunch of entitled jerks.

I am going all in on either the Royals or Blue Jays for the WS title....however, with that being said...i could live with a mets win due to the way they completely rebuilt the right way.

Yes, it would have been unpalatable for the Cubs to win the WS since they did not rebuild the right way.

but also, it would have been unpalatable for the Cubs to win the WS since their fans are douches.. But so are the Mut fans.. hell, I guess no one should win the WS this year since the only good fans are Braves fans.

As per the fans, I give the Mets' fans a break because they are just New Yawkers being New Yawkers. Cubs' fans on the other hand? Their all-time favorite player is Harry Caray. Insufferable bunch of rubes.

I respect both of these teams though. Chock full of some pretty good baseball players.

if you had told me in 2012 the Mets would make the WS before the Nats, i thought you would be crazy but they are scorching hot and that rotation is crazy.

Assuming they keep Cespedes, gonna be a pain to deal with in the forseeable future.

Not postseason related, but good a place to post it as any: The Red Sox have announced manager John Farrell's cancer is in remission. Great news.

Because exploiting a built in advantage of being in a big market to buy the players other teams drafted/developed to make up for your own lack of ability to draft/develop players is a shortcut. Just like taking steroids is a shortcut. I dont mind if a team has a big payroll but thats all money give out to home grown players. Thats fine with me. MLB is the only major american sport without a salary cap. At this point its just exploiting loopholes in the rules and as far as I am concerned is cheating. I view it the same as taking steroids. Steroids is cheating because it can cause serious medical issues and players would be pressured into taking them to keep up with the players that were willing to take their chances. If every owner spent like the Dodgers most of them would go broke. If spending 200 million is only an option for 3-4 teams then it shouldnt be allowed.

Only Harvey was a high draft pick.
