funny how fans are..
Cubs beat the Cards.. fans "power is what we need, doesn't matter if they strikeout.. Homeruns make a difference"
Mets beat the Cubs... fans "Pitching, yes, great starting pitching is what we need"
Royals in 1st 2 games fans "contact hitting.. man we need contact hitters, who can get on base"

The KC model is not some isolated variation. In recent years, we've seen the Giants and Cardinals have some post-season success with similar offensive teams. There are other models: power pitching, power hitting. Having a good to great pen is probably more important for teams that emphasize contact/defense/speed. Those kinds of teams are going to be in more close games.

The same Royals that hit Josh Donaldson in the back, then threw at his head the rest of the game? Interesting.
I didn't think the pitch to Escobar was as close to his head as everyone makes it out to be. Ultimately, in the bigger picture, the Mets stomped in a must win game.
