Smith and Swanson should reek havoc on the Phollis tonight.

Batting Swanson second doesn't help his chances of retaining rookie status. I don't think it's an unimportant issue. He needs to be eligible. Maybe he'll get to sacrifice bunt a couple of times.

eh.. I agree with others that when he gets to 129 or 130, he will be sat.. I think Copy and Snit think that it is better to run him up to 130 over picking and choosing when to sit him and him ending up with only 125 ABS.

Does Collmenter get a chance at the 5th spot/long man role next spring? It's funny watching teams looking so uncomfortable trying to hit against him.

Sometimes I feel like Collmenter would be a "flamethrower" for the Phillies with their current rotation.

    That was a special K.

3 Homers in about 120 at bats. Not a bad pace for a SS. I expect about 12-20 Homers and sb next year.

Freddie has at least one more AB to extend the streak. He may need some free baseball to get it done.

Is this year the worst our catchers have been at throwing out base stealers?

I feel like it has to be, but I'm not good at b-ref searches. Gonna go back to 2006, percentages may be off slightly. Yeah...this year is pretty terrible for our catchers.

    2016 is 16.0%
    2015 was 28.2%
    2014 was 23.8%
    2013 was 28.8%
    2012 was 28.5%
    2011 was 24.3%
    2010 was 30.1%
    2009 was 32.2%
    2008 was 23.6%
    2007 was 23.4%
    2006 was 22.9%
