That’s what that “parade” should be called

appears Rep Hurd remains free to speak, just dis- invited to speak at this particular cyber security conference.

What does him being disinvited to use their platform have to do with "free speech"
He is totally free to speak.

Had he been imprisoned or worse killed or deported --- then his right to freee speech would have been impinged
Kinda like religion -- there is implied freedom of religion but also the freedom to not be a part of/or practice another's religion.
Freedom from religion - if you will

Same applies here. Where is the cybersecurity conferences freedom to not listen to Rep Hurd.
Who is this guy and why is he celeb du jour ?

Oh yeah, mainstream African (R) is an oxymoron

So let me get this right, they named a speaker, people who want to attend said they wouldn't. They canned the speaker. Sounds like capitalism at it's finest.

understanding is not the same as justifying.
Do we agree on that ?

As time goes on it becomes clearer and clearer how much you simply dont understand of everyday life and how little exposure you have had to the world.

So while Sturg is battling the scourge of the free market, we have this actual threat to free speech:

    I think that is shameful.

It's what I would expect from a culture who has decided to ban anything they disagree with. It's called blowback

Geez Kyle, what did you say that got them so upset ?

    Harvard didn't want him.
They ar not restricting his ability to attend school, just not their school

    This isn't complicated

understand - probably. But justify !

Did they not teach you English at Liberty or Trump U or whatever Old Testament institution you called college ?
Or did your homeschooling not include reading beyond Dick and Jane or other elementary literal writings?

A university is kicking out a (conservative) student over private comments made as a 16 year old kid.

Gosh... can't see any issue with this at all

what you dont get Grasshopper is for better or worse, equal to the right freedom of speech is the freedom to not listen
which I notice you go to great lengths to utilize

or not provide a private soap box.
Which in this case is Harvard. They are in no way required to provide people that use language they find offensive a soap box.

Same with that Shapiro guy or any of these other fringe characters..Now, should the government arrest him for using the N word or the Shapiro yo-yo for saying illogical nonsense, then, you would have a point.
