That's right... duh. Who was the pitcher we got in the Miller deal?

Not willing to say this is the case, but do think these are the only types of deals AA is looking at at this point.

Thrilled to death that AA didn't play on Machado or Britton personally (at least without getting the chance to secure extensions). We all want to win now, but I'm more than happy with him seeing what the current crowd can do unless a steal falls into his lap and throwing money at people this winter. The Brewers are in trouble given their pitching situation, and there's a non-zero chance this team can back into a wildcard as it's currently constructed.

None of the arms have done anything to hurt their value so far (and AA has probably seen enough to have made his choices about who to keep), so if you're going to shop them in any trade involving anything other than a Realmuto/Archer/deGrom/Iglesias/etc. type of obvious and controllable upgrade - just cool your jets.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Kyle Wright has thrown 7 innings of one run ball so far.

    His team has been one-hit.

Now 8 fantastic innings for Wright.

Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Feeling really good about Wright and Toussaint! Reading these thread updates really helps for a one stop shop but after I saw them on tv the other week you just get a different feel after actually getting to see the guys even though it was short outings in an All-Star game.

Wright showing us why he should be our #1 pitching prospect now. Good to see.

I like Touki a lot but at this point in time pedigree still matters for Wright

Touki has none? Lol...I think they are both a matter of taste, but everyone knew Touki had talent. Raw but pure stuff. If he had grown up playing ball instead of a late start and followed the same path as Wright, it would be interesting to see where he would have gone on the draft.

I think both guys have good pedigree.. Touki has better results and is farther along in development. I take Touki over Wright for now.

Touki doesn't have '#5 overall 12 months ago' attached to him like Wright does. So yes that still carries weight.

So how long until Wright is promoted to AAA? August? I feel great about the possibility of a Folty, Newk, Soroka, Gohora, Touki, Wright rotation options for next year.

Well, next year they will all be free agents except for Julio. Hopefully we move Julio along in the offseason.

Technically McCarthy has a option I think, but that would be a NO on him. Maybe Sanchez?....let’s see if he can keep this up? I’m not sure he can have this success long term. Yes please, move Julio. He is just too inconsistent. At best a #5 if you don’t have better options, and I just listed a bunch of better options (not even counting guys like Allard and anyone we trade or sign for).

Wonder if seeing Touki get bumped lit a bit of a fire under him. Last 3 starts...

By "some", do you mean prospect sites like BA, FG, MLBPipeline, and BP? You know, the major ones?

    Yeah...some...
