Now that you know his name and his location you know he's going to accuse you of stalking him.

Acuna is the top prospect in baseball. That's pretty clear at this point.

I think next yr neck starts in rf. When there are 169 games left acuna comes up and neck is the vet on the bench ph and backing up lf and rf. We can afford that bc acuna will b at the minimum.

Maybe they move Adams in offseason and move kemp to 1b to get acuna up
Kemp to 1B makes a lot more sense than Adams at 1B. At least Kemp is a bat worth moving Freeman to 3b.

Very well said, it's not how he necessarily "talks" to me but how he treats others. I was raised (I'm 28 years old) by my parents with the simple quoted mindset of "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all" and while some jabbing back in forth is all in jest, there is a line and it's been crossed many times and a long time ago.

Everyone on here has an opinion, and whether or not we share the same opinion it shouldn't be hard to -at the very least- respect that said opinion. Just because it's his opinion doesn't make it always right and that's how he see's it. He's never wrong and in his eyes, has the most knowledge of the game of baseball on this board. I do think he is knowledgeable as well as everyone else on this board and to me, that what's so great about this forum. The ability to discuss and consider the way other people think about certain topics. Not that whatever we think is wrong because it isn't the same as what he thinks.

For the most part, and yes I have disagreed with many of you before, the folks on this board are fun to interact with. For the most part, I can carry on a discussion with all of you (well, almost all) and while our opinions may vary it's still fun to discuss topics and see other side of topics that we sometimes can't see because let's face it, we as humans want to be right, but still respect the others opinion. But sooner or later in these discussions he enters and the name calling, bashing and downright disrespect starts. I will continue to come on every so often and browse around and read your post but I just don't know how much i'll post. You guys keep up the great post and threads!

P.S- I got to see Acuna play three games and actually did get his time to first (I'm a pitching coach for a high school in SC) so anytime I go to a game, I have my stopwatch to see how quick pitchers are to the plate, catchers pop time, home to first, first to third, catcher to pitcher, .etc and here are my results for he and Albies for the three games I went to see:

    Game #1- (Albies DNP)

    Acuna

    1st AB: N/A (K swinging)
2nd AB: *4.33 (HR so went into trot)
3rd AB: 4.24 (single to CF and made wide turn to see where throw went)
    4th AB: N/A (BB)
5th AB: 4.33 (single to LF and again made wide turn)
6th AB: N/A didn't have stopwatch at time

    Game #2

    Albies

1st AB (LH): 3.99 (double to RF)
    2nd AB (LH): 4.22 (3u)
3rd AB (LH): N/A didn't get (Lined out to 2B)
    4th AB (RH) 3.97 (4-3)
    5th AB (LH): N/A (K swinging)

    Acuna

1st AB: N/A (F9) was attempting to get Ozzie 2nd to home
    2nd AB: 4.05 (6-3)
    3rd AB: N/A (BB)
    4th AB: 4.09 (4-3)
    5th AB: N/A (K swinging)

    Game #3

    Albies

1st AB (LH): 4.66 (pop up to catcher)
    2nd AB (LH): N/A (K swinging)
    3rd AB (LH): 3.95 (4-3)
4th AB (RH): 4.04 (single to LF)
5th AB (LH): 4.22 (popup to SS)

    Acuna

1st AB: Didn't get an accurate reading (popup to SS)
    2nd AB: N/A (BB)
    3rd AB: N/A (K swinging)
4th AB: 4.19 (double to RF)
    5th AB: 4.11 (4-3)

    Some other times:

    Recker pop times between innings (game 1): 1.98 / 1.87 / 1.91 / 1.88 / 1.86 / 1.92

    Fritas pop times between innings (game 2): 1.94 / 1.89 / 1.90 / 1.89 / 1.98

I could see Acuna's speed rankings being bumped up to the next level if that's what other scouts are seeing consistantly.

I saw the still shot on twitter. Bad call is generous. He easily beat the throw.

So without the bad call, my boy Ronald was 5-5 last night. Oh well. It will work itself out in the numbers.

    Ronald in AAA at age 19: .318 avg, 10 XBH, 18 PA per HR, 2 SB, .400 OBP, .606 SLG, 1.006 OPS. 18.4% K%. 76 PA.

    Mike Trout in AA at age 19: .326 avg, 42 XBH, 37 PA per HR, 33 SB, .414 OBP, .544 SLG, .958 OPS. 18.4% K%. 412 PA.

I love the K% improvement. Acuna just went through a small patch of struggle and it didn't last long. I kinda hope for another rough spell to see how quick he adjusts.

I'm afraid that will not happen until he's in the bigs. He is too good.

Start of next year, I would offer him a 12-year deal worth about $120 million and have him til he reached 32. Extremely risky but if he turns out as good as I think, it's a steal.

Would a 20 year old who's only made $100K so far turn down a 12 year/$120 million deal without any big league production?

He's my favorite prospect in the entire minors. I love guys with speed and power. Speed is the most underrated thing in the game nowadays.

I try to be impartial (I'm bearish on Allard, for instance) but understand how someone could think I'm a pozzy! I am steadfast in my opinions.

Yeah, I have no idea what I'm talking about with contracts, and I will readily admit that.

I guess he would turn it down because of his high ranking and confidence in himself.
