I think the Braves will end up either signing Frazier for 3B or trading for Donaldson or Headley. I think it probably goes: trade for Donaldson, sign Frazier, trade for Headley in the thought process which kicks the problem can of 3B down the road a year or two.
At this stage, I would re-sign Suzuki (much cheaper than Lucroy), consider Swanson expendable and try to offer the Marlins a sweet deal that includes Adams, Allard, Muller and Pache (flexible) and bring in Christian Yelich and bad contract of Prado.
Look at Yelich's contract. Can't believe he took this:
7 years/$49.57M (2015-21), plus 2022 option
signed extension with Miami 3/22/15,
15:$0.57M, 16:$1M, 17:$3.5M, 18:$7M, 19:$9.75M, 20:$12.5M, 21:$14M, 22:$15M club option ($1.25M buyout). He would only be 30 in 2022.
Camargo holds down short, Prado moves back to third
Prado owed $28.5 million the next two years

The problem is that this will cost you an arm (or two) that no one wants to trade to make it happen - an Allard/Gohara/Soroka type. They're stupid, but not stupid enough to give Yelich away to save $28.5 million.
If Coppy could make that happen for Fried and Wentz, I'd hope everyone would jump.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Rico, Camargo is not holding down SS. If our left side of the infield is Camargo and Prado, we're not competing for anything.

So this is also a Josh Donaldson fan board too?
This is the difficulty when building a team. Donaldson has slowed down some this year, but guess what, you arent signing any free agents that are 25 years old and at the top of the league. Yeah, you overpay for free agents, it's just the world you live in.
The signing of Donaldson would remind me a lot of the Nats signing Werth. There would be a couple good years and a couple bad years, but it does establish the franchise as a team that is ready to try and win. We aren't winning anything with a bunch of kids, you have to have some sort of a mixture.

I know Stanton has a big deal but if I could send Kemp in a deal for him I'd be all over it. Something like Kemp, Allard, and Dustin Peterson for Stanton. He can opt out after 2020 and I could see him doing it if he knows he can get a longer deal or more money.
