Yeah I saw that. I didn't know he even had that streak going. Pretty good. So 1 eraned run in 30 innings. If my math is right that is like a 3.5 era. Right.

Soroka 2.18 era at 19 in AA . Holy ****. We could see him very early next year.

Do you move Soroka up to AAA in August this year or do you wait and start him there next year?

I'd move Soroka up now. Why waste his time in AA when it's been proven it's too easy for him?

He's not wasting his time, he's 19 I'd leave him there. We still aren't talking about a huge sample size here, only 82 innings.

No. I've learned results matter very little in the minors. Tools carry. Peripherals carry. I'm still waiting for non braves fan to tell me sorrows is more than a back end guy.

I think what you are looking for is that it is difficult to be a front of the rotation starter unless you strike out a good amount of people.

It's defining terms. What's the front of the rotation and what's the back of a rotation?

Fellow just said he wish he'd see one non-Braves fan that didn't describe Soroka as a back of the rotation talent. Well, I think Pipeline's evaluation has him as a third starter at worst. Is that back of the rotation? Is a #2 the front of a rotation?

I think being a 3+ WAR pitcher gets you into the front end area.

You wait for Soroka to struggle and then adjust. We saw Acuna do it. We saw Albies do it. Now we wait to see Soroka do it.

Start him in AAA next year, wait until the extra year of control is secured, then call him up when there's an opening.

This desire to rush the window of contention is not healthy for the long term success of the organization.

Soroka is striking out 7.73/9 and walking 1.85/9 as a 19 year old in AA. Christ.

1/2 way through and no struggles yet. You may be waiting for something that isn't coming at the AA level. I'm not saying move him or leave him... obviously whatever we're doing with him is working
